FAQs
Pavement Pounder Events FAQs
Pavement Pounder Events are open to all types of cars. We think that the events will appeal to owners of American muscle cars and classic cars of every year, but we also expect owners of European and Asian vehicles to join us as well. The key is to love road trips and have a passion for vehicles.
We love motorcycles, but this event wasn’t created for motorcycles. If we have enough interest, we may create a motorcycle event in the future.
Yes. We are all too familiar with Plan A, B and so on. We ask for vehicle info so we have an idea of what types of vehicles are participating each year. Plus we’re gearheads, so we want to know a little bit about everyone’s vehicle. But you can switch vehicles at any time. You don’t have to let us know, but you can email us, message us through Facebook or post it to the Pavement Pounder Events Participants Facebook group.
You can join us anywhere along the route. When you register, the form asks where you’ll join us and we’ll have your participant’s package ready for you at that stop.
We’ll have the participation package ready for you in the city you start in. Registration and check-in dates, times, and locations will be announced ahead of time for each year’s event.
It’s a free country and we’re driving across public roads. You can join the tour without registering. However, registering gets you information, makes you part of our community and gets you a windshield banner and other goodies depending on what level or registration you choose. It also helps support us and make Pavement Pounder Events possible. In 2026, we are adding a Single-Day Registration which is as very affordable way to join the group.
We never say never, but the concept of Pavement Pounder Events is to have a new gearhead destination and route every year.
Starting in 2026, we will limit participation. Our goal is to keep the group small enough that everyone can enjoy the trip and experiences we make part of each year’s tour, but large enough that it doesn’t become an exclusive club. The exact limitation for each year will be included on the registration page.
Kinda. We don’t offer refunds, but you can request to have your registration fee credited toward a future Pavement Pounder Events. There are some rules and stipulations, so please see our refund policy.
As the event grows, it will become more difficult to keep everyone together, but we will do a driver’s meeting each driving day of the event and there will be a lead car Participants are free to follow or drive on their own. Route instructions will be provided in the event guide book.
